Selling a collection you know
When a collection has been put together with intent — albums labeled, runs in order, contents familiar — selling it is mostly about keeping that order intact and choosing the right time to bring it in. Keep the sets together, gather any records, and we work through it with you.

The order a collection is kept in is part of its story. A few simple choices protect that.
- Leave albums, folders, and sets assembled — don’t empty them into a bag.
- Keep coins in their holders and flips; do not clean or re-house anything.
- Bring inventories, receipts, and any grading or certification papers.

We look at the collection as a whole first, then work through the parts that matter most. Collectible coins are evaluated by date, mintmark, and condition; bullion is evaluated by metal, weight, and purity; standout single coins are considered on their own. We explain what we find and where the value lies, so the decision to sell stays yours.

Selling a collection, answered
Should I break up my collection before selling?
Usually not. Keep sets, albums, and runs intact and let us see the collection as it was assembled. Breaking it apart can lose context that helps the evaluation.
Do I need a full inventory first?
A list helps but is not required. If you have an inventory, receipts, or the collector’s notes, bring them. If not, we work through the collection with you in person.
How do you handle a large collection?
Tell us the rough size and makeup when you call so we can set aside enough time. Larger collections may take longer, and we plan the appointment around what you are bringing.
What if part of it is bullion or a single rare coin?
That is common. We evaluate the collectible coins by date, mintmark, and condition, the bullion by metal, and any standout single coins on their own merits.
